Google rolls out Search Live globally, bringing real-time AI conversations to 200+ regions

Google has officially launched its AI-powered conversational search feature, Search Live, to users worldwide, expanding access to over 200 countries and territories where its AI Mode is available.

Originally introduced in July 2025, Search Live transforms how users interact with search by enabling real-time, voice-driven conversations powered by live camera input. With this feature, users can simply point their smartphone camera at an object and ask questions, receiving instant, context-aware responses while continuing the conversation naturally.

Until now, Search Live was limited to users in the United States and India. With this global rollout, Google is making the feature accessible to a much broader audience.

At the core of this expansion is Google’s latest audio and voice model, Gemini 3.1 Flash Live. The model enhances user experience by delivering faster, more natural, and intuitive conversations, making interactions feel more human-like.

Getting started is simple. Users can open the Google app on Android or iOS, tap the Live icon beneath the search bar, and ask questions out loud. The system responds with audio answers, allowing users to follow up seamlessly or explore additional information through web links.

Search Live shines in real-world scenarios where typing isn’t convenient. For example, users can point their camera at a device or object—like a shelving unit—and receive step-by-step guidance on installation. The feature combines visual input with AI intelligence to deliver practical, real-time assistance.

Users can also access Search Live directly through Google Lens by selecting the “Live” option while using the camera.

In addition, Google is expanding its Live Translate feature on Google Translate to iOS users. This feature enables real-time audio translations through headphones and is now rolling out to more countries, including Nigeria, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Japan, Bangladesh, and Thailand.

With this update, users across Android and iOS can access live translations in more than 70 languages using virtually any pair of headphones.

By combining visual search, voice interaction, and real-time translation, Google continues to redefine how people search, learn, and communicate in everyday situations.
