Deezer rolled out “My Deezer Year 2025” on Monday, jumping ahead of Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music with an early release of its annual listening recap. The platform moved first this year, giving users a head start on revisiting their favorite songs, artists, albums, and genres from 2025.
The feature gives listeners a clear breakdown of their music habits, including their top tracks, most-played artists, favorite albums, and the total hours they spent listening. Deezer also highlights users’ most-played artist and top song in a way that feels more personal than previous editions.

For 2025, Deezer switched things up with a new romantic-comedy theme. Instead of the usual graphical recap, users move through their listening year as if they’re starring in their own rom-com. As they swipe through the story, Deezer acts as the narrator, dropping playful commentary and teasing upcoming “plot twists” in their music journey.
The recap unfolds in three episodes. It starts with “Meet Cute,” which focuses on all the new artists users discovered this year. “Love Triangle” follows with the top three artists they rotated the most. The final episode, “Happily Ever After,” wraps up the experience by spotlighting their favorite tracks of the year and offering a personalized playlist to keep the vibes going.
This approach feels noticeably different from 2024, when Deezer let users choose whether they wanted their music taste “roasted” or “hyped up.” Instead of humor-driven feedback, this year delivers a story-driven, cinematic recap.
As in past editions, users get a personalized quiz where they answer questions based on their listening habits. They can share the results with friends to see who matches their musical personality. Deezer added a twist this year: users can create their own quizzes by selecting their favorite genre, three songs, and a top artist to see which friends match their taste. For the first time, people who don’t even use Deezer can also create quizzes, a clear push to draw more users into the ecosystem and boost social sharing.
“My Deezer Year 2025” is now live on both iOS and Android, letting anyone on the platform start exploring their musical memories immediately.
Deezer closed out the announcement with a snapshot of global listening trends from the past year. The average listener spent 122.8 hours streaming music on Deezer, played 691 songs across 402 artists, and discovered 357 new tracks.
